The IRIS RELAY reimagines the rainbow not simply as a symbol of hope, but as an ancient transmission device engineered to carry light, thought, and connection across impossible distances.

Inspired by the Greek messenger goddess Iris, the artifact is presented as an archival technical study, blending celestial instrumentation, sacred geometry, and impossible optics into a speculative communications system.

Winged stabilizers, a spectral core, and concentric alignment rings suggest a forgotten technology designed to translate light into passage, transforming the rainbow into a bridge not only between earth and sky, but between worlds, ideas, and understanding.

Created as part of the Spectrum Studies collection, IRIS RELAY explores a recurring thread found throughout human history: the belief that light is more than illumination. Across cultures and civilizations, the spectrum has represented guidance, revelation, divine communication, and the enduring possibility that what separates us may also be what connects us.
